A message from our Principal
Dear St. Brendan's School Community,
Our Year 5 students were very excited to head off to camp at Alexandra on Wednesday for two nights.
This Camp has fantastic onsite activities such as High Ropes course, Flying Fox, Rock Climbing Wall, Giant Swing, Leap of faith, Canoeing, Archery, Gogo Ball, Bocce, Beach Volleyball plus lots more activities.
The children will enjoy all the outdoor facilities and will be very tired on their return.
Thanks to Ted Lindon (teacher in charge), Amelia Mangiameli (Medical officer), Sam Beks, Jhett Cooper and Beth Seccull.
School Maintenance
We have installed new Synthetic grass on one of the hills and work on the Sandpit is going well. New Synthetic grass has been laid around the sandpit area and a new fence has been erected.
Thanks to John Howley for all his work on organising and overseeing the projects.
Liz Dainton (3/4 Dainton)
Liz Dainton is on leave and will return to school at the start of Term 3. We have replacement teachers in her class for the next few weeks.
Good luck
Lily Uluakiahoia had her Stage 2 Regional Netball Trials on Thursday, 18th May.
Lily has successfully progressed to the third and final trial rounds which will be held on 13th and 14th June in Melbourne. This is when Country and Metro girls will compete for a spot in the Victorian Primary Schools Association Netball team.
Well done Lily and we wish you all the best for this last stage. A wonderful achievement!
Netball - Year 6 side
Thanks to Lily's mother, Emily Uluakiahoia for supplying the lovely photo of teachers Sam Beks and Ted Lindon at last week's netball. We have had many teachers visiting different teams on a Saturday. Great to see so many playing sport!
Kind regards,
Paula Stevenson
