SACSA Soccer

Week 5 Term 2 saw two SACSA Soccer carnivals. After a competitive selection process and multiple team training sessions, both teams were prepared for what they were about to face.

On the 30th of May, the Pilgrim Year 3/4 Soccer team travelled to Kings Baptist Grammar School to compete. After a very successful 2022 carnival, the team was fired up and ready to repeat their excellent performance. Despite poor weather conditions, the Year 3/4 team worked hard and displayed excellent sportsmanship. They finished the day with 2 wins and 2 losses.

The Year 5/6 carnival took place at Barratt Reserve, West Beach on Wednesday the 31st of May. The weather was much more favourable and the location was much closer for the Year 5/6 team. The boys were excited and worked hard in all their games. Although the team did not come away with a win, they were involved in very competitive games and tight scorelines.

All the boys represented Pilgrim with class and we should all be proud of their competitive efforts.

Campus Instrument Night

In Week 5 we celebrated the Campus Instrumental Music Night. The evening was a great success, providing very supportive audiences to our talented instrumental students from Nativity, Thiele and Pilgrim, and their wonderful instrumental teachers.

There were performances from flute, recorder, piano, guitar, violin and voice students who are taking lessons with our Campus Instrumental staff – Jo Jeffery, Alison Hansen, Jan Booth, Peter Morey, Greg Jones and myself.

Performing Arts Captains Isabelle and Alanah, and the tech crew Chloe and Joshua, also contributed to the night, along with Mr Scott Baldock in the tech booth. Sharon Willoughby, Andrew Edmondson and Melinda James also attended as representatives from each school’s leadership team.

Our congratulations to all the Instrumental students who performed, and our sincere thanks to the parents, students and staff who made this evening possible.
