Positive Behaviours for Learning

After consultations with all staff and school leaders, this is our PBL Matrix.

It outlines our 3 school values  of  being RESPECTFUL,RESPONSIBLE and SAFE.

Classes have been focusing on RESPECTFUL expectations indoors, outdoors, in the community, in the toilet space and digitally.

Healthy Relationships

As carers, we want our children to be happy, healthy, kind, and surrounded by positive, supportive relationships.

Discuss what a healthy friendship looks like with your child.

Teach them to:

-Choose friendships that make them feel good.

-Set boundaries that are firm and respectful.

-Make choices that are right for them.

Community Asthma Program - Free Education

It is coming into the winter months and hospitals are expecting a peak in asthma presentations and winter illnesses.  Inner west suburbs have some of the highest rates of asthma in Victoria due to high transportation routes and high industry in the area, so we are trying to raise community awareness of our Community Asthma Program in these suburbs. We are a free asthma education and support service for children aged 1-17y. Families can self refer to the service if they feel they need any help with their child’s asthma.

Junior School Council Report

Once again, Yr 6 JSC representatives attended the Junior School Council meeting at the Council Chambers on 10th May.

Eloise was the chosen speaker and got to sit in the chambers. Her suggestion of  improving community relationships, sustainability and healthy eating choices by  creating a community garden was discussed.
