PBS (Positive Behaviour Support)

The College has implemented a new Behaviour Support Program to assist students to change their mindset in regards to their behaviour that focuses on ‘positive’ reactions and interactions. At the heart of the approach, it is linked to our shared values of Aspiration, Respect and Safety.

The template below is the matrix that the College is adhering to across all faculties of Trade, Class, Farm and Residential.  This will be used to engage students about a behavioural incident to re-direct their mindset as to the expected behaviour and to re-teach what is explicitly expected as opposed to ‘negative’ responses.

The model is also linked to our data record keeping known as ‘chronicle’ so that the College is able to reference the data to support students understanding of behaviour patterns that are of concern.
