Welcome to Week 6 Term 2,

KINDERGARTEN 2024

This week the enrolment process for our 2024 Kindergarten cohort commenced with interviews. Throughout the interview process parents are informed of St Nicholas School's core values, structures and practices enabling them to understand what it means to be part of the St Nicholas community.

The interviews also mark the beginning of the transition process to formal primary education with a tour of the school. The tour enables parents to see for themselves the level of sophistication our profession provides in educating their child. The Kindergarten interview process is a privilege and reminds me of the enormous responsibility we hold as educators. Parents come to us seeking our help and support in providing their precious loved one with a ‘hoped filled future’.

STUDENT LED LEARNING CONFERENCES

Hopefully all parents have accessed their Compass Portal and booked a suitable time for their Student Led Learning Conference. The conferences are a powerful platform to model how you value education to your child. The buzz among the students and staff wanting to showcase their learning is definitely beginning to develop. Bookings for these conferences close tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing parents over the next two Friday’s when our learning spaces are opened in the morning (8.15am-8.45am) to our parent community. The Hub is open tomorrow (2/6/23) and then The Hive and The Zone are opened next Friday (9/6/23).
