From the Principal

This week will have been a picture of contrasts at the College, beginning with what I hope was an enjoyable Commissioning Service to formally begin my time as Principal of this wonderful school. I was delighted to have in attendance many people who love the school and have worked so hard for it over the years. We were fortunate indeed to have Reverend David Fotheringham, the Moderator of the Uniting Church in Victoria and Tasmania conduct the service and to lead the College in reflection and prayerful hope for our future. He has my thanks and I look forward to strengthening this connection through the Uniting Church schools’ network. In my address I spoke to some of my priorities and views about education in broad terms, and also to my hopes for our school over the coming years; the text of the full speech is available below, should you be interested.

Tomorrow the week will end with a day without on-site classes to allow the College community to farewell Sam O’Shannessy. I appreciate the flexibility and understanding shown to facilitate this event, and offer the reminder that class work is available to students – provided by their teacher in Junior School or via the class OneNote in Senior School.
