Welcome

In this edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, we are rapidly approaching the end of Term 2. Students are readying for many assessments and exams.
Our Year 12 students are having conversations regarding life beyond the CLC gates. In order to assist our Year 12 students, I have recently advised them to make appointments with me regarding their future and I urge you to encourage them to do so as well. Being prepared means that students should have a clear Plan A, B and C, as pathways are not always linear.
In the Year 10 space, we will be holding a Pathways program in the final week of term. Students will have the chance to experience all of the VCE subjects on offer. A program will be sent out soon. There will also be sessions on the VCE Vocational Major (VM) and information on tertiary courses and alternative pathways to Senior school success. Guest speakers will also be a part of this event.
In addition, this edition includes information on
- Unimelb – Focus on……. (series)
- Deakin design Masterclass
- Electrical Apprenticeship Career Spotlight
- 7 Unusual Jobs for Maths Lovers
- Numerous Competitions
- Tips to Improve your Public Speaking
- What is it like to work in a Gym
- How to become an AUSLAN Interpreter.
