Cancer Council Fundraiser

On Wednesday, 24th May, we hosted a Biggest Morning Tea for Parents and Carers to raise funds for the Cancer Council. We also held one for staff and asked students to wear yellow and donate. It was a great success and with all the donations combined, we raised over $1000. Thank you on behalf of the Cancer Council for your generosity.

Walking Safely to and from School

On Friday in Week 4, we participated in ‘Walk Safely to School Day’. Thank you to Mr Carpenter and the staff that took part in the walk from the local park.

Whilst this was a great event, I urge parents and carers to help students to walk and cross roads safely every day. Thank you to parents and carers who use the pedestrian crossing when picking up their children.

National Reconciliation Week

This week is National Reconciliation Week (NRW) and this year’s theme, ‘Be a Voice for Generations’ urges all Australians to use their power, words and vote to create a better Australia for everyone. We will be discussing this with our students this week.

Every Day Matters

Consistent attendance improves student outcomes, increases career options, and helps students build relationships and confidence.

Did you know?

95% attendance

Students are expected to have above a 95% school attendance rate, because days missed is years lost. That’s why making sure your child comes to school every single day (unless genuinely sick) is so important.

Holiday time

Please remember, holidays should only be booked during school breaks. Students should be at school every day during school term, right from the first day until the last.

Safe learning environment

We know that the last couple of years have been tough, and we will continue to prioritise student’s health and wellbeing by listening to health advice, providing support and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Reminder: Applications for enrolment for Kindergarten 2024
