Child Safety

At Aitken College we have a zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm. The College regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and as such, is committed to providing the necessary resources to ensure compliance.

You can find our suite of student child safety and wellbeing policies, including our policy on Reporting and Responding to Child Safety, on our College website https://www.aitkencollege.edu.au/child-safety/

If you have a belief or suspicion that a child is being, or has been, subjected to any form of abuse you must contact the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (Child Protection).

Where you need guidance on making a report or have questions regarding child safety and wellbeing, please contact a Child Safety Officer. Our Child Safety Officers are the Assistant Principals and Deputy Heads of Primary and Secondary. Our Senior Child Safety Officer is the Deputy Principal.
