VCE Play- Crèche and Burn

Last week saw the culmination of much of the semester's work for the Year 12 Theatre Studies class as they presented their play, "Crèche and Burn" by Elise Greig.

Students select the play that will provide them with the best opportunities for assessment across the areas of Acting and all design elements. Throughout Term One, they made decisions about what set, props, costumes, audio, lighting, makeup and hair we required to effectively stage the show.

They developed a range of characters based on satirical stereotypes, requiring all of them to extend their acting skills.

The result was a show which they then self-evaluated and analysed, making improvements along the way. Around 150 people who attended across the three performances were treated to some very funny and at times irreverent characters who inhabited the world of the childcare centre.

Well done to Kaylah, Jasmine, Sarah, Keeley and Liam, along with two of our Year 11s, Brennyn and Angelique who stepped in to assist them.
