2019 School Sports Victoria State Athletics Championships

On Thursday the 24th of October, there were 6 students who made it through to the SSV State Athletics Championships at Albert Park. While some results didn't go to plan on the day, all students walked away medal winners.

The under 11 boy's relay team, finished second. Grace P finished third in 1500m and Mia G finished second in the 200m. Which means they are all top 3 for their age group in the state. An absolutely amazing result.

"We were all so nervous about our races. Archie had the first race which was the hurdles heats he was nervous. He came third and ended up qualifying fifth. The next event was the relay heats and our team raced well and came first. We progressed to the finals. We were all

pleased. Soon after Arki had had his high jump he did a great job he ended up coming 4th. After that Archie had the finals for hurdles he had a bad start and came fifth. The last event of the day was the finals for the relay we were so nervous before the race we were shivering and moving around when the race came Rowan had a blitzing start, we were coming second and then Archie got the baton and sawed down the line and handed it to Ollie who ran really well. He gave it to Arki and we finished second." - Ollie, Rowan & Archie O
