Asian Festival 2018
At Asian Festival 2018 we enjoyed a rich variety of oriental cuisine, performances and workshops. In previous years you’ve had the chance to try out some traditional Vietnamese dishes and watch many dancing performances. For the past two years, however, we have decided to step up our game and so we are making this tradition into one that incorporates food from all around Asia. The money collected goes to a charity providing aid to victims of the poisonous Agent Orange used in the Vietnam war (you can find the link here).

Na Asijském festivalu 2018 jsme si užili orientální kuchyni, vystoupení a workshopy. V minulých letech jste měli možnost vyzkoušet některé tradiční vietnamské pokrmy a podívat se na mnohá taneční představení. Za poslední dva roky jsme se rozhodli tuto akci ještě vylepšit, a proto v ní zahrnujeme větší část Asie! Vybrané peníze půjdou na charitu, která poskytne pomoc obětem ovlivněným jedovatým herbicidem Agent Orange použitý ve Vietnamské válce (odkaz na organizaci naleznete zde).

The Roma Awareness Week (debates, talk by Michal Ďorď, two cake sales, exhibitions). Týden romského povědomí (debaty, přednáška pana Ďorďě, prodej cukrovinek, výstavy).

Thank you for visiting our stand at the Experience Great Britain! The event was organised by the British Embassy and the British Chamber of Commerce.

ECP Basketball Tournament
The inter-house basketball competition is now firmly established as one of the whole-school sporting events, taking place each year. Once again the Sparta Arena provided a top-class venue, and students and staff offered vocal and enthusiastic support. As is the ECP way, good play was supported from all sides. The whole school was present to see the medal places decided, and in the end Ignis Boys beat Ventus in the final and Ventus Girls won their final against Terra. Year by year, the quality improves, and everything is poised for a final sporting showdown at Sports' Day at the end of the year.

Basketbalová soutěž mezi jednotlivými kolejemi je nyní pevně začleněna do celoškolních sportovních akcí, které se konají každý rok. Sparta Arena opět nabídla špičkové zázemí a studenti i zaměstnanci poskytli hlučnou a nadšenou podporu. Tak jak je stylem ECP, dobrá hra byla podporována ze všech stran. Celá škola byla přítomna boji o medaile a nakonec chlapci z koleje Ignis ve finále porazili Ventus. Dívky z koleje Ventus ve finále zvítězily proti koleji Terra. Kvalita se každoročně zlepšuje a vše je připraveno na závěrečné sportovní zúčtování na sportovním dnu na konci školního roku.

Cultural Olympiad
Once again, there was an extraordinary range of talents on display at the Cultural Olympiad. A showcase of music, dance, drama and 'freestyle' expression, we yet again were treated to a feast of artistic expression. Each House performed something musical, dramatic and a dance, as well as presenting a video and being given liberty in the "Freestyle' section. This year the standards were higher than ever, and the job of the independent judges cannot have been easy. In the end, and with close-run competition across all categories, Ignis ran out winners once again.

Na Kulturní olympiádě se opět objevilo mimořádné množství talentů. Přehlídka hudby, tance, dramatického umění a "freestylového" výrazu - znovu jsme měli to čest zažít uměleckou slavnost. Každá kolej předvedla něco hudebního, dramatického a tanečního, stejně jako prezentaci videa a svobodu v disciplíně "Freestyle". Tento rok byly normy vyšší než kdy jindy a práce nezávislé poroty nebyla snadná. Nakonec opět zvítězila kolej Ignis v těsné konkurenci ostatních kolejí.
