VIRTUAL CROSS COUNTRY

McKinnon’s first ever Virtual Cross Country event was held from Wednesday 13 May until Sunday 17 May. It was a major success with students and staff across all year levels joining in and running or walking for the house.

A fantastic few days of weather saw over 450 students and staff sign up to participate over the five days, with each house either running or walking over 500km within that time frame.

We saw some fantastic efforts over the five days. A special shout out to Daniel Plotkin (Year 7), Kevin Zhou (Year 8), Terry Tsakiridis (Year 8), Monique Andjelic (Year 10) and Jacob Whiting (Year 11).  All five students put in some huge runs during the Cross Country Event.

It was an incredibly close event coming down to the wire on Sunday evening. The scores are as follows:

4th place:  Flynn 1075.90

3rd place:  Monash 1111.20

2nd place:  Chisholm 1188.30

And the winners were GILMORE with 1196.50 points.

I would just like to thank everyone that got involved in the carnival over the five days. It was a great success and again congratulations to Gilmore on their win.
