"One who knows how to show and accept kindness will be a friend better than any possession" - Sophocles

Dear Fatima Families,
What an amazing and unpredictable term we have had. It seems like a long time ago that we scrambled on a Thursday afternoon to get some packs and devices home to you with around 2 hours notice (in fact it wasn't official until around 5pm that day). We thank you so much for all of your time, effort and resilience in such unprecedented times. As I write this we have no end date for remote learning, we remain optimistic that this will change soon. Any information will be communicated to you before we return for Term 4.
To our wonderful Fatima staff - I have nothing but thanks and admiration for all of your work this term, especially with another fast and unexpected move to remote learning.
This term has been very challenging with an increased number of onsite students meaning we have had to rely even more on classroom teachers to assist here more regularly. To all of our regular onsite staff a huge thanks, it is not the same as our normal classroom learning and you have adapted and adjusted daily while teaching many year levels at once. Our staff, like our students need the time to recharge for another busy term ahead.
Recently we celebrated ESO (Education Support Officer) week with our quiet heroes. These wonderful people support students in small groups, individual Meets and onsite at school. They often work on specialised plans as well as being fantastic supports to our class teachers-thank you for all of your hard work this term. They are wonderfully led by our diversity leader and Acting Deputy-Dimity Hemingway. Much thanks for all that you do.
Patrika has led us all brilliantly this term and has had a well deserved week of leave. A huge thank you for your leadership and guidance. Even though Patrika is at home I know that she is still doing much work in preparation for Term 4 and beyond into 2022. Enjoy your break.
Finally to our students a big well done! You continue to amaze and inspire us with your willingness to have a go, work remotely and at school, bringing joy and enthusiasm with you to your teachers everyday. You are the reason for all of the time and effort your parents, teachers and staff put in, all striving to see you achieve your own success. Have a wonderful term break and a deserved rest from your school work for the next 2 weeks.
We can't wait to see you all again next Term. Be kind to yourselves, enjoy time with one another and stay safe!
Take care.
