PREP INVESTIGATIONS

On Friday last week, the prep on-site students started the day off with Investigations. Instead of staying inside, we made the most of the weather and decided to investigate outside. We gathered lots of different materials such as counters, whiteboards, fake bugs and cooking supplies and discussed how these items can be used in an outside setting.

Once we were outside, students investigated in different areas with their chosen items and they also did a great job at sharing their items with their peers. In the attached photos, you will see that one student has set up different animals from smallest to largest in size, another group set up a little shop and used a whiteboard to survey their peers on their favourite fruit, counters were used to create a race car track, some used the chopping board to make chocolate donuts and a magnifying glass was used to explore different insects.

The preps had an awesome time and we are looking forward to many more opportunities to switch up Investigations routines once all the students are back at school.
