President's Report

- Rachel

Hi Livingston families

I hope you are all staying safe and well.

The last couple of months have been particularly challenging with the recent Covid-19 outbreak and I would like to thank all our families for your support and patience. Our kindergarten remains closed except for those families who are permitted workers or have exemptions, with minimal staff working onsite.  Online learning commenced for all other families and I hope the children are enjoying connecting with teachers and children over Zoom during this time. Packs are available to support your child’s learning. Please reach out to your teacher if you require any further support or have any questions or concerns.

A big shout out to our Director, Louise, teachers and educators for their commitment and dedication during this challenging time. They have shown resilience and adaptability as they continue to support our children's learning whilst following and implementing directions from the Department of Education.

Congratulations to our Grants Officers, Lucy and Leona, who have been busy applying for grants on our behalf. They have been successful in achieving funding for a worm farm, a frog bog, Body Safety Awareness program (for 2022) and a new Mac computer. The kindergarten staff and families are very grateful for your work to secure these funds.

Enrollments for 2022 have been solid. We are currently full for 3 year-old and only have a handful of places available for 4 year-old kindergarten. If you know of a family wishing to attend our kinder in 2022, please get them to contact Bayside Council to register via the below link:

We are looking to make further upgrades to our backyard and are in the process of developing plans.  We will keep you posted on our progress.

We are not sure what Term 4 looks like however we will send out further communication once we receive formal direction prior to the start of term.  Please look out for notifications on the School Stream App and on email.  Fingers crossed!

Please stay safe and well. We hope you enjoy the sunshine during the holidays.
