Literacy 

Our students have enthusiastically returned to school ready to continue with their learning. 

During the past fortnight the Preps have been learning that the digraphs (two letters that make one sound) 'ai' and 'ay' makes the long A sound. The Preps have learnt that 'ai' can generally be found in the middle of words such as pair, wait and plain. They have also learnt that 'ay' can generally be found at the end of words such as play, Sunday and say. 

Our Year 1 and 2 students have been busily writing Narratives (imaginative stories). They have learnt that a Narrative must include characters, settings, a problem or twist and a resolution to the problem. Below is Lachie's story 'When Mum Saved the World.'
