So good to be back!!!

Years 3/4/5 Transition

Students have continued to play Bluearth each week, demonstrating teamwork and sportsmanship skills.

As a student teacher, it's been great to see the way the cross level groups have been able to work together. Creating a game has given the Year 3, 4 and 5 students the opportunity to utilise their unique talents within a new context, and they have all risen to the challenge. The games they have worked on all show their creativity, curiosity and demonstrate the way the groups have worked together to utilise multiple ideas. It has been very encouraging to see both the Year 5's and Year 3/4's demonstrating leadership and teamwork within their groups. I look forward to seeing the game's success when the students lead the upcoming games day. (Nick - ACU Student Teacher)

Year 3/4 Science

All students in Years 3/4 have been enthusiastically involved in a variety of Science activities these past weeks. The excitement was noticeable on Monday when students were told that they would be making their own crystals! Students firstly learnt about how crystals are made before then proceeding to make their own. All students were able to respond to instructions, enabling them to have a great learning experience. A BIG 'thank you' to our ACU students Rita and Ersie, who initiated and provided the students with this excellent learning activity.

The Dot

In Year 1/2 we read 'The Dot' by by Peter H. Reynolds. It is a story about a girl who draws a dot because she feels she is not good at art. Her teacher encourages her to turn her Dots into fantastic art pieces.

We made a gallery of our own Dot Masterpieces. We're proud of them!! The story reminds us to try our best and to always encourage others.
