Student Wellbeing

Mrs Rebecca Beveridge

What a fast term it has been! We have been seeing excellent respect, responsibility and resilience around school this term! We are proud to see students displaying these behaviours inside the classroom, on the playground and outside of school! To reward these awesome behaviours we have been presenting students with Gotcha tokens! They have done so amazing that our Gotcha Tower has basically reached the top! To celebrate our great achievements we will be having a special reward of a whole school game and some special treats to celebrate on our last day of term next week!

For PBL these past two weeks we have been focusing on how we can be responsible and respectful during assembly and in the library. Congratulations to Amelia and Zac who won our PBL Gotcha chocolate prize this week at assembly! Mrs Traynor was pretty happy as she also got chocolate for giving out the gotchas!!

Harmony Week

Last week we celebrated Harmony Week! Harmony Week is a week to celebrate the equity of different cultures! Together we came together as a school to make this beautiful display! Everyone decorated a hand to resemble themselves and their identity!

We also had a shared meal where each class made a dish from a different place around the world! We had food from Australia, France, Brazil, Italy and more! The students really enjoyed learning about the food from different places around the world as well as trying it!

Holidays

Please enjoy a restful and hopefully relaxing holiday! These last two weeks of term are when we see students the most tired after all the hard work and energy they have been putting into their learning. Please see the links below to help you and your family maintain positive wellbeing throughout the school holidays. There are a few helpful links in there if you need wellbeing support over the holidays. Please also feel free to email me whenever you need.

The first day coming back from the school holidays can tend to be when we see kids start to feel a bit anxious. Getting a good night's sleep, getting back into a routine, packing their bags, laying out their school uniform, and visiting the school the day before returning, are all good tips to help your child have a smoother transition back into the life of the school. Please email your child's teacher if you need any help with the transition.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and relaxing holidays!
