Sports Update

Dear Parents and Carers,
On Monday, 13 March Safia T, Betsy H and Polly H travelled to Goulburn to trial for the South Coast Girls Basketball. Despite the crazy wet weather, all three girls demonstrated their outstanding skills and sportsmanship on the day. A special congratulations to Polly H who was selected for the South Coast team and will travel to Tamworth from Tuesday, 30 May to Friday, 2 June for the NSWPSSA Primary Girls Basketball Championship. We wish her all the best.
On Friday, 10 March 13 students from OFPS accompanied by Miss Ford went to Dapto Swimming Pool for the PSSA South Coast Swimming Carnival (Regionals). Miss Ford was blown away by the sportsmanship, respect and skill all students from OFPS displayed. All students gave 100% in their individual and team events. A special congratulations to Sophie S who will be competing at the NSWPSSA Primary Swimming Championship at Sydney Olympic Park on April 5-6. We wish her all the very best.
On Wednesday, 8 March all students from Years 3-6 participated in the Community of School Touch Football Gala Day at either Oak Flats High School or Shane Lee/Panorama Oval with Balarang Public School and Albion Park Rail Public School. Our students represented the school exceptionally well, demonstrating their sportsmanship skills. Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and you could not wipe the smiles off their faces. Thank you to all staff at OFPS for their support with the organisation and running of the day.
Kind regards,
Tash Ford
