2020 Staff

Introducing . . .

We will feature our new staff for 2020 in the next few editions of il giornale. This week we would like to introduce School of Wonder Year One Learning Mentor Kara McCann, School of Wonder Languages Learning Mentor Linda Alampi and School of Innovation Learning Mentor Keshia Dean.

Kara McCann

My family is from Shepparton. I grew up here attending St Brendan’s Primary School and Notre Dame College. I have one sister, and a niece who is 6 years old.

Outside of work I love being outdoors. I live an active and social life. I enjoy walking, bike riding, gardening and spending time relaxing in nature. I’ve played a lot of netball and tennis in my life but enjoy it at a more social level at the moment! I love going to the footy. I support North Melbourne. Catching up with friends and family for coffee, going to markets around the area, music and eating out are some of my most enjoyable experiences. My favourite place to visit in Victoria is Bright, however my family ties to Barmah are also strong. My teaching career began at Mooroopna Primary School in 2010 where I taught Years Two and Three for five years. I also held the positions of Sports Coordinator and Numeracy Leader while I was there. I moved across to St Mel’s, Shepparton,  in 2015. I spent five years at St Mel’s Primary School in the Upper Years. I held roles of Sports Coordinator and Unit Leader.

Linda Alampi

Igrew up on a farm in Tatura and have been in the Goulburn Valley area most of my life. Prior to teaching at St Anne's College, I was teaching at St Augustine's College in Kyabram. I taught various subjects - Italian, Psychology, English, Religious Education - across primary and secondary. I also had some time working in wellbeing before going on maternity leave with our second child. Since then I've mostly been a stay-at-home mum, spending some valuable time with our three very energetic boys. I enjoy travelling, learning languages, meeting and spending time with people from all around the world and family time.

Keshia Dean

My name is Keshia and I am working this year with the Year 7s and 8s in the School of Innovation team. This year is my ninth year teaching and I have been based mostly in the Bendigo region, but have also worked away as far as Lakes Entrance. Before coming to St Anne’s College I had been working in Bendigo for the last four years in schools as a classroom teacher and a casual relief teacher. I worked at my last school for over a year and taught Foundation students in 2019. As most of the Year 7s have found out, I love art, music and my Melbourne Storm.

I’m looking forward to continuing to get to know the kids better.
