Caritas Just Leadership Workshop

On Friday 8 November Year 9 students Cara Fitzgerald, Maya Manaena, Amelia Howell, Mackenzie Kinghorn-Lewis and Hannah Munnings attended the Caritas Just Leadership workshop held at St Virgil's College, Austin's Ferry. The group participated alongside other aspiring leaders from various Catholic Colleges; getting to know one another and learning about the most pressing justice issues people face around the world. Student's identified the qualities embodied by religious and non-religious leaders who had worked to meet the needs of the poor. The students presented their findings to one another before breaking into school groups to plan a justice action for 2020.

'It made us more aware of what is going on and how different our lives are.' - Amelia

'I went home and I looked up some of the statistics for the issues we'd been shown and it was shocking to see facts. It made me feel very grateful for what I have.' - Hannah
