Year 9 Science – Melbourne Museum

Year 9 Science –Melbourne  Museum excursion               

 Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th August, 2019

As part of the Year 9 Science curriculum, students attended the Melbourne Museum ‘Me, my mind and my microbes’ program over the course of two days last week. The program highlights the connection between the systems that are responsible for keeping us alive and functioning.

At the Melbourne Museum, the year nine cohort explored different parts of the human body, which correlates with our science curriculum. Throughout the day, we were able to take part of different activities, visiting various exhibitions, such as ‘Melbourne’s History’, ‘Me, My Mind and My Microbes’ and ‘Love your Gut’, going into depth on how these take part in our body. The year level’s favourite activities varied, but the excursion as a whole was quite an enjoyable, but educational trip.
