Year 12's

As we move towards the end of Term 3 many of the Year 12’s are starting to realise that they are close to the end of their high school years.  As they contemplate the next step in their lifelong pathway, they are also working hard to complete all of their courses here at the College.

If students need further verification regarding their marks and what courses they are required to complete, please encourage them to talk to their teachers/trainers. If parents have any concerns about how their child is tracking please contact the College or alternatively, review your child's marks in Connect.

The Year 12 ATAR students have the opportunity of completing exam workshops on the 18th and 19th September to prepare for their final in-school exams. The WACE exams are in term 4 and will begin across the state from Monday the 1st of November.

The after school prep classes have seen great numbers over the last few weeks particularly with Miss Davies Certificate III students and Mrs Olejnik’s ATAR Math. Miss Jury and Miss Sharpe have also been facilitating extra study sessions with their students joining the regular prep sessions.

Students who do not complete all of their required class and VET theory by the end of this term will be asked to come back in Week 1 and 2 of Term 4. All students who are completing Certificate III’s will be required to return for the first two weeks of Term 4.

The Year 12’s will be given their official clearance forms on Monday the 13th of Sept, which will need to be filled out and signed off. The students are responsible for getting this form completed and then returned to the front office.

Drug and Alcohol Workshops

All students next week will be participating in the whole school drug and alcohol workshops that is being presented by Rosemary Powers and the WA police.

2022 Year 12 Course Confirmations

The Year 11’s had been sent out the course selection sheets for 2022 earlier this term. If you have not returned this sheet, please email back to the school by Monday the 13th of September.

Valedictory Rehersal

Valedictory rehearsal will be on Wednesday the 22nd of September at 12pm in the schools Recreation Centre, to assist students with understanding the structure of their final school event in Term 4.

College Uniform

Our College has very clear uniform policy, however at the moment some students are not adhering to this policy. Infringements include wearing sneakers to class instead of black leather shoes, wearing non-school jumpers and hats and not attending the Trades and Farm areas  in the required uniform and PPE. It is an expectation that students are organised, prepared and compliant as this is an expectation in industry.

Another area that students are breaching is cutting the sleeves out of the school jumpers and turning them into vests. The school does not have vests as part of their uniform. If there are uniform changes that parents and students would like to be considered they must go via the College Board for endorsement.

Student Rewards Event

On the evening of Wednesday the 22nd of September during our usual prep time all the students who have been on their best behaviour this term will be enjoying a movie and hot dog night. These students will receive a personalised ticket in Week 9.

Cunderdin Ag V Narrogin Ag

On Friday the 24th of September WACoA Cunderdin will be meeting WACoA Narrogin at Corrigin for a lightning carnival challenge. Students will be selected for this event, with preference being given to the Year 12’s and students who had missed out on Country Week due to the COVID shut down in Perth earlier this year.
