The importance of a 'Plan B'

Here we are again… working from home and living with lockdown 6.0.  Although we have risen to the challenge with great success each time, it’s always harder working with students remotely.  Well done to the many students who have continued to do what they can to stay on top of the demands of their study, and planning for 2022.  

A reminder to Year 12 students working on VTAC applications, if you need assistance with your application or plans for 2022, don’t leave making an appointment until the last minute!  Things generally get very hectic towards our deadline to have all applications and supporting documentation completed by 17 September. 

With all the uncertainty within various employment sectors within the economy, and travel, I encourage all Year 12 students to apply for a course in 2022.  This could be your dream plan, but it can also be your ‘Plan B’ or even ‘Plan C’.  

Important notice - VET Applications for 2022 

Students who have applied for a VET course in 2022 should be regularly checking emails for updates on their application, or extra requirements.  This year a number of host providers have asked that enrolment forms are completed before they will approve places.  If you have received any paperwork to be completed, please do so as a matter of urgency and return to Lou Renard via email.  Places are limited, and demand for these courses is very high.

CASPer entry requirements for teaching courses

A reminder that students who are applying for education or teaching courses in 2022 need to book to complete the CASPer test.  This is designed to assess an applicant’s personal and professional attributes.  If you are planning on applying for teaching courses you should go to https://takealtus.com/ to sign up and register for a test date. 

Key Dates for Tertiary Applications for 2022 Entry 

Year 12 students are reminded of the key application dates for all states. 

NOTE :  NHS goal to complete all applications 17 September 2021 !!
