Go the Distance for Refugees

In the lead up to Brigidine Day, the College is embarking on a ‘Go the Distance for Refugees’ Strava Challenge to raise much needed funds for the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project (BASP). These funds will assist BASP in providing hospitality and practical support for people seeking asylum and much more!

We are asking for your support in one or two ways. First, we are encouraging our College community to sign up to Strava and join our challenge. You can do so HERE

By walking around 96km, you are covering the distance of an asylum seekers journey from Afghanistan to the Turkish Village of Sariciman or by covering 474km, this is the treacherous journey from Jonglei, South Sudan to Kenya's Kakuma Refugee Camp.

If you cannot complete the walk (or in addition to), we ask that you please consider contributing to our collective teams fundraising efforts, which you can do so HERE.

It’s never too late to start and walk in solidarity with others.

Here are our results as of Week 2.
