Wear it Purple Day
Celebrates LGBTIQA
Wear it Purple Day (WIPD) is a day that celebrates LGBTIQA+ young people, of which we have many members and allies in our school community. It’s crucial that we acknowledge days like these to continue to provide a safe environment for every young person in our diverse community. This year the theme is about starting a conversation about sexual orientation and gender identity, a conversation which encourages people to freely express who they are. During remote learning teachers got together and showed their support by changing their backgrounds and students gave up their lunchtimes to participate in a Kahoot on the history of WIPD and LGTBIQA+ pop culture.
Let’s keep it going.
