Dear families, Maths Challenge

Each fortnight we will be including a maths challenge in our newsletter for families to attempt to solve. They are intended for the family to work out together. The idea is that you talk about Maths and see how you can all solve the problems. Then record how you do the challenge, bring it in to school and post it into the Maths box in the front office by Wednesday each fortnight. Make sure that a child’s name and their class is on the challenge.  We are looking forward to some very creative answers.

You will find the first problem under 'Happenings' in this newsletter. Answers need to be submitted by next Wednesday 29th June. Good Luck!!!

Vacation Care

A reminder that our July Vacation Care program has been released and bookings can now be made.

Once again, it is a very exciting program with both excursions and in-house activities during the 2 weeks.

Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Interviews / Reports

It has been fantastic to see the number of families that have booked interview times over the past week. This is the first time we have coincided interviews with the handing out of mid-year reports and feedback so far has been excellent.

I am very interested in hearing from families in regards to how they have found the process.

Electronic Sign

We have recently purchased an LED electronic sign that should be arriving any day. The sign will enable us to keep our community informed of upcoming events as well as any other important information. It will be double sided and installed on the Fletcher Road fence line. It is hoped that it will be operational in time for next term.

ICT News

Recently we installed a point to point wireless network across the school. Prior to this we had been experiencing issues with our download rate and it is hoped this new network will go some way to solving the problem.

Playground Update

Following the huge response to ideas for our playground upgrade, we have narrowed the list down to roughly 3 design types. Over the next few weeks, there will be some further consultation and a finalised concept will be presented soon. Of course the final design will need to be costed but we are confident that we can install a playground that fulfils the needs of our Primary aged students.

Thank you to everybody that contributed to the designs.
