Kirsty's Studies
Many of you may know Kirsty Meese, one of our Kinder Teachers. Kirsty began at BHCS this year taking over from Sarah Jobson while she is studying. Over the last six years Kirsty has been studying for her Bachelor of Teaching, and Bachelor of Education, through Charles Sturt University. During this time, Kirsty has continued to raise her boys Harry (8) and Jake (5), making life challenging at times, but she has loved every moment.
At the end of 2014, Kirsty completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching, qualifying her to teach Kindergarten and children from birth to 5 years old. Over the last three months, Kirsty has been completing her final placement at a local Kindergarten on her non-working days for her Bachelor of Education studies. She says that this opportunity has given her inspiration, a variety of new ideas and helped form partnerships with local kinders.
As a School, we would love to congratulate Kirsty on the completion of her Bachelor of Education. We are proud to have her as a part of our BHCS Staff.

Set Painting - Help Needed
On Sunday 9th August from 1pm to 5pm Mr Kenny needs help painting sets for Beauty and the Beast. The students are rehearsing at this time. It would be fantastic if any parent helpers, or students not involved in the show could offer their time, as we still have a fair bit to do! Bring your painting clothes! Please let Annie McDowell know if you are available to assist by emailing amcdowell@bhcs.vic.edu.au.
Thanks in advance!
Attention Beauty & the Beast Cast & Crew
Please find attached a letter from Mrs McDowell with all the information you need to know about Production Week - including: rehearsal dates, make up, expectations, costumes, etc.
New Caledonia Update
Thank you to all interested parents and students who came to our New Caledonia Trip Information Night on Wednesday, 5th August. Should you decide that you want to take advantage of this unique learning experience, arrangements can be made with Liz Stewart in the Finance Department and a deposit of $300 will need to be paid by Friday 21st August. Payments can be made by cash or cheque (placed in a clearly marked envelope) or EFTPOS at Reception. There are only 20 places available, so please be quick to avoid missing out. It is an exciting and very worthwhile opportunity for both cultural and language learning.
