PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Mrs Jillian Rainger
Welcome back to Term 2. We will continue our implementation of the "Living Well, Learning Well" student support framework. The purpose of this initiative is to increase learning, wellbeing, and life-opportunity outcomes for our students. One of the most important concepts that we focus on is safety for all. Students need to feel safe and know how they can help keep themselves and those around them safe. The key areas that we talk about with students include:
Follow the safety rules for different settings
Take our safety drills seriously
Hands off for physical safety
Say nothing hurtful
Use technology with care
Be a peacemaker
Seek help for self or others when there is a safety concern.
We are looking forward to a great term with many usual events back on our calendar. We will be celebrating 200 years of Catholic education in Catholic Schools Week in Week 6. We will be having a picnic lunch on Thursday 27 May. We will also be starting our 2022 enrolment process. Our Open Day for 2022 is on Wednesday 26 May.
If you wish to get in touch please contact me at
jrainger@arm.catholic.edu.au or contact Cathy at the Front Office for an appointment.
This week and next....
This Tuesday our staff are having a presentation from the Headspace team on keeping people mentally healthy. We are looking forward to increasing our knowledge in this area and putting into practice some of the new ideas that will be shared.
ANZAC Day
This year there is no march for ANZAC day. Our school captains have been invited to attend the wreath laying ceremony at the 11am service to represent our school. We would encourage our students to attend the service as part of their family/community to recognise this significant event. Our assembly prayers this Friday will have an ANZAC focus.
Three indigenous students will travel next week to Coffs Harbour for the annual Warraymalaya Retreat. They will be accompanied by Mr Gils and Mrs Higgins.
Best wishes to...

Some things to remember ...
School Uniform
Students can either wear their full summer or their full winter uniform until June 1 when the winter uniform is compulsory.
School Fees
Thank you to our families who have updated their direct debit, paid their Term 1 fees or have responded to correspondence regarding payment. Prompt payment of school fees help our school run efficiently. Please remember to put your family name as seen on your account and student name when making deposits for identification.
Woolies Garden containers
If you have any spare containers from the recent Woolies gardening promotion our keen gardening students would love them. Please send them to the Front Office.
Our amazing student and staff...
It has been great to see our students back and into their learning. The playground is a place where many highlights of the school day happen. Nice to see smiling faces.
Looking forward to seeing you...
