Regional Swimming Championships
Forty six students represented Bernera Zone at the Sydney South West Regional Swimming Championships recently. All our students performed admirably in their events.

Congratulations to our 17 students who qualified for the Combined High Schools (CHS) State Championships in week 11. This is the largest contingent to represent our school at these championships. We wish them the best of luck.
Water Polo
Our Opens Boys and Girls Water Polo teams competed at the Regional Water Polo Championships recently. All students had a great day with their skills and teamwork improving with each match.
The girls finished 4th while the boys were undefeated and were crowned Regional Champions!! This is the best result in water polo ever for our school.

The boys team travelled to Newcastle on Wednesday to play Alstonville High School for a place in the final eight tournament. The boys put up a gallant effort but were defeated by their more highly experienced opponents.
A big thank you to Mr Hickey for taking these teams and for Mr Alfonsi for accompanying the boys on their road trip. Our students love water polo and are super keen to continue participating.

Track and Field Championships at Homebush in a blistering time of 11.62s. Branson can now carry the tag of the fastest male in Australia for his age group. Sensational achievement!
