Due to the recent “bomb hoax”threats being made to many Victorian schools it was thought this would be timely moment for Victoria Police to provide some general advice to parents / guardians of the students who may be affected by a “critical incident” of any nature affecting their school.
To ensure the safety of all students, staff and administration personnel at the affected school is maintained it is requested by Victoria Police:
Tertiary Study and Employment Expo at Catholic Regional College Sydenham on Wednesday 27 July 2016.
The Tertiary Study and Employment Expo will provide an opportunity for students and parents to research and receive quality information from our exhibitors regarding employment, apprenticeships, traineeships , TAFE institutes, Universities and both Government and Private Providers. This will enable families to develop an understanding of the post school pathway options available to students and how their choice of programs will influence their future options.
Some of our exhibitors will include:
All students at Catholic Regional College Sydenham will be attending the Expo on this day.
Year 11 students will attend from 11.55am – 12.35pm.
Year 12 students will attend from 12.45pm – 1.30pm.
All Wednesday VET classes will run on this day until 3.30pm instead of the usual 5.20pm.
Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students and their parents/guardians are also invited to attend the Expo from 5.00pm – 8.30pm in the College Hall on this day to ensure that they have adequate information about tertiary study and employment applications for 2017. All teachers and staff of the College will be present to support families on this night.
Students whose families are unable to attend will be disadvantaged as they will miss out on the myriad of information and advice available directly from tertiary institutions and employer groups. We look forward to your attendance at this important event.
