Time line of events leading up to VTAC applications: Term 2
In Term 2 students should be booking a time to meet with a member of the careers team. Josie Albano is available to meet with students every day and Marj Peel is available on Wednesday- Friday. Students can book an appointment time by either emailing staff or filling out a careers appointment slip which can be found outside the careers room. Once the slip is received, a suitable time will be allocated an appointment slip will be generated and given to the students Tutor to be handed back to the student.
During Term 2 students should also be using the VTAC website to do a course search to check for information such as course ATAR requirements, Prerequisite subjects and any extra requirements or forms that that particular course may require.
*in 2016 VTAC will no longer publish a hard copy of the VTAC Guide as in previous years so students will need to visit the website to find relevant course information.
Experience Days – Term 2 Holidays
During the term 2 holidays some tertiary providers run experience days. Unlike University Open Days, these are an opportunity for students to sample what you can expect in a particular course. Each day usually runs from 9:00 – 4:00 and students must register their interest if they want to attend. The careers team will publish information about these experience days on SIMON.
