Mackillop Year 11 Report - Jesse Juren

This year the year 11 students of MacKillop have had a very productive start.

Earlier this year the students had retreat in what was a very fun and enjoyable experience, the students have grown closer and had a fun time doing so. With all our hard work each week in term 1 in cluster sports We had become the T-ball champions, a fitting win for MacKillop.

Also not to long ago the students had an excursion to the museum and the Immigration Museum the day was productive and many of the students enjoyed it.

At our Cluster Feast Day, we had an amazing guest speaker from Canteen come to speak to us about the work they do in the community. Students really enjoyed the free lunch of kebabs and a soft drink and activities at the end of the day. This was a fantastic day which allowed us to bond and come together as a Mackillop Cluster.

Mackillop Year 12 Report - Matthew Moussa

The year 12 classes in the MacKillop cluster have been going exceptionally well. On Friday the 20th of May 2016, the year 12's went on an excursion to the Old Melbourne Gaol. Here we learnt a lot of fascinating facts about the prison and the prisoners, including the famous Ned Kelly. The senior VCAL class has been studying Capital Punishment in literacy, therefore it helped the students a lot more learning about the events that has happened in our city of Melbourne.

Mackillop Sport Report - Georgia O’Donovan

Mackillop has had a great start for sport in term 1 and the first few weeks in term 2. For term 1 we took out the tee-ball against Dunlop in the grand final, crowning us champions for cluster tee-ball. It was a great term, and every game we fought hard and had lots of participants each week and that paid off in the end for MacKillop.

We have also had a great couple of terms with participation in SACCSS AFL, basketball, cross country and many more. For each of the sports we have had plenty of people join in and participate. A big congratulations to the girls who were involved in the SACCSS AFL, who took out the Sister Lucia Cup, and Championship winning Swimming team. For term 2 cluster sports, we continue to do well in the soccer with 1 win, 1 loss and a draw. Let's keep the hard work going MacKillop with plenty of support and dedication in order to win the cup at the end of the year.
