Junior Secondary 2

This semester, JS2 has been exploring books written by Roald Dahl. We have read James and the Giant Peach and Matilda.  We are currently reading The BFG.  As part of studying each of these books we have looked at the characters, the setting and the plot.  During our study of The BFG, our students, as a whole class, composed an acrostic poem describing The BFG. They then wrote a poem with a topic of their own choice.

In Math, we have been looking at Place Value and addition strategies. Students built towers using the MAB block then calculated the ‘value’ of their towers using various addition strategies.
