Upper Primary 1

UP1 has had such fun viewing and creating fantasy texts. We explored and wrote about characters such as mean dragons, monster’s cooking, groovicorns dancing, helpful mermaids, grumpy giants and the hungry ogres hiding under the bridge.  Students have also been developing technology skills by transferring their own stories onto the story apps on our iPads.

We all enjoy maths in our classroom and have discovered our favourite counting songs. They love working with numbers, subitising and enthusiastically estimating and measuring objects around the room. Our class merrily measured away using a variety of informal units. These included pom poms, MABs, connectable cubes, paper clips and cars.

Our class brings enthusiasm and amazing skills to every learning experience and we’re excited to add many more over the remainder of the year.
