News from the Junior School

Year 3

In Art this week, Year 3 looked at ways of making marks using paint. They used tools other than brushes and then turned those marks into pictures.

Maths was hands on learning about fractions. Students worked with partners to make, identify and label fractions then explored ways to find equivalent fractions.

City Excursion

The Year 5 and 6 students spent a day in the city visiting Government House near the Botanical Gardens. They toured the House and Kitchen Garden to gain an insight into the role of the Governor in our Australian Democracy.

Cross Country

Well done to our victorious SDSSA team who competed at Jells Park in May.

Year 2

Last week the Year 2s had fun making their healthy lunch boxes from scratch!

It was the perfect day for a picnic.
