Year 7 Impact Session: 'Mates that Count' Incursion

Last Friday the Year 7s had an educational session focusing on "rising by lifting others" and active listening, in order to build authentic friendships. Thanks to Robert Ingersoll who came in to lead the workshop which looked like a lot of fun!

HOSA Catchup - Jan and Nadisha

How amazing to see Jan Tyquin and Nadisha Jayasinghe (Class of 2009) bumping into each other!

Nadisha is visiting from Sydney where he is a doctor and is applying to be a psychiatrist. In 2015 Nadisha started MYND Initiative (with the help of many of his HT peers). MYND is a not for profit organisation designed to help communities collectively develop better awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

He and Jan (who worked at Huntingtower for 34 years) met at Café 57 in Mt Waverley.

Girls in Physics Breakfast

Six Huntingtower students were invited to a '𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁' at Monash University on May 19. It was a great opportunity for the girls to chat with like minded students and women who have a career in physics and engineering!
