VCE Theatre Studies Production

On Wednesday June 1, Year 12 Theatre Studies students Miranda F, Aiden F and Xabier W performed their stunning Macbeth Production in the PAC.

As part of the VCE Theatre Studies program, the three students had to collaborate between themselves and other peers regarding the artistic vision for the show as embodied in the production aims. They decided they wanted to take inspiration from global events to shape their interpretation.

They decided that, in addition to tackling the challenge of delivering Shakespearean dialogue, they wanted to explore the theatrical styles of Immersive Theatre, Feminist Theatre and Realism.

The show was brilliantly performed throughout various areas in the PAC (foyer, stage, seating section and more), all while manoeuvring different sets, audience interaction, costume changes and even piano playing (well done Xabier!).

These three seniors put in a huge amount of work in order for the show to triumph. Miranda took on the responsibility for sound design, Xabier for lighting design and Aiden for costume design.

Well done to Mrs Danielle Holden, Mr Troy Jansen and Mr Jackson Harper who helped support the entire process.

What an exceptional performance!
