Cadets

Sarah Byron

Last Cadet day we were visited by SGT Wessner from Cadet Headquarters. As well as ensuring our Cadet paperwork is all up to date, he spent time observing the cadets. He was very impressed with the program the seniors are running including the Survival Swimming and Team Building. He also assisted our seniors in sharpening up the cadets drill.

We are lucky enough to have SGT Wessner returning in June to work with the Senior cadets in their Drill movements and commands in preparation for Ceremonial Parade in Term 4.

While we are starting to work towards our Ceremonial Parade, we also have 15 cadets heading to Puckapunyal Army base in the July to further their cadet skills in Specialist Courses including Field Signals and Survival. More information will be sent out to these Cadets over the coming weeks. We urge the cadets to ensure that they have warm sleeping bags and good sleeping mats for their field experiences. We wish them all the best.

Reminder – There is quite a large amount of gear that was left after Cadet camp. This is in the basement next to the canteen so if you are missing anything from camp, it may be there.

Also please ensure that your child has emptied their webbing, including cleaning of their water bottles and cups canteen. These will be returned in Term 3 and this date will be communicated to all cadets early next term.
