Student of the Week Awards Presented 27/5/22

Maddison S. - 00L

This award goes to Maddison for showing the HEART value of Excellence in her writing this week. Maddison shows great care when completing her work and always takes the time to listen to the sounds in each word and ‘have a go’. Keep up the amazing effort! Maddison you are a Scoresby Superstar!

Alisha C. - 1/2D

This week, Alisha has embodied the HEART Value of Excellence, as she has completed all tasks to the very best of her ability. Alisha has been incredibly determined to support the class in practising their production dance for next week. Her excitement to play a main part in the show is so wonderful to see! We look forward to watching you shine at the production, Alisha.

Lucas N. - 1/2G

This award goes to Lucas for his successes in PONT maths. He has been a persistent and active member and as a result he has extended his knowledge in addition strategies. I love watching you grow each day  Lucas and you are such a delight to have in my class. Keep up the great work!

Jesse W. - 1/2K

This award goes to Jesse for the excellence and persistence he is displaying in his PONT maths class. He has been working very hard at learning new strategies to help him solve subtraction equations. He returned to his classroom beaming from ear to ear on Wednesday and ethnically announced to me that “today I learned to count back!”. Jesse, I am so super proud of your persistence and efforts when it comes to learning new and tricky concepts. Always be the best you can be!

Tyler H. - 3/4B

This award goes to Tyler for his impressive kindness towards others. He is a good friend to his peers and always shows compassion when others are in need. Tyler goes out of his way to help students and teachers in the classroom and in the yard. He is a wonderful role model to others! Tyler, I am so proud of you!

Joshua B. - 3/4K

This award goes to Joshua for the fantastic job he has done settling in at Scoresby Primary School. Despite the language barrier, Joshua is quickly picking up the routines of our classroom. He has amazed us with his mathematical skills and has quickly learnt the moves of our class production dance. Welcome to Scoresby PS and 3/4K Joshua.

Summer E. - 3/4S

This award is presented to Summer for the excellent effort she put into writing her first information report this week. Summer selected a topic that she already knew a lot, about which was Border Collies. She organised her information into paragraphs and included a subheading for each one to describe what the information was about. Keep up the great writing, Summer.

Mia W. - 5/6F

This award goes to Mia for consistently displaying all of the Scoresby HEART values. She is a kind friend, who looks out for her peers and always completes work to her personal best. This week, Mia has put all her energy and enthusiasm into rehearsing for the school production. She knows all the moves to our dance and performs with a smile on her face. She should be very proud of her achievements.

Tali K. - 5/6M

This award is presented to Tali for his wonderful explanation writing this week. Tali decided he wanted to explain why Penguins are unable to fly as it was of interest to him. After some  research he was able to complete the explanation planning template and then turn his ideas into sentences. Tali, then revised, edited and published his work. Well done Tali!

Aisy S. - 5/6W

This award goes to Aisy for his ongoing commitment to his learning. This term, he has demonstrated a conscientious attitude towards all aspects of his learning and is completing tasks to the best of his ability. Wonderful effort Aisy. I am very proud to be your teacher!

Patris N. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Patris for his wonderful clay sculpture of a Victorian house. The students in 5/6 cut out their design from a slab of clay, adding raised areas before creating texture for the roof, walls and doors. Patris did a wonderful job experimenting with a new way to colour clay using oil pastels and a black wash. Fantastic work, creativity and persistence Patris!

Tali K. - Physical Education

This award goes to Tali for showing the HEART value of Excellence during our Volleyball clinic last week. He listened carefully to the coach’s instructions and feedback, and improved his volleyball skills greatly during the clinic. Fantastic work Tali!

Indiana W. - Mandarin

This award acknowledge Indi for her enthusiasm in Mandarin class. We were doing a rap while learning about the months in Chinese and Indi was having a go rapping the months and doing the hand gestures. Keep up with the good work, Indi!
