INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM

This week our Language Centre students went on 2 excursions.

Belgrave Excursion

The first excursion involved traveling by public transport to Belgrave to enjoy the sounds of ‘Puffing Billy’ followed by a 2 hour tree climbing adventure. This activity involved students familiarising themselves with the safety aspects of a climbing course followed by a series of challenges ranging from easy to hard. Communication in English was required as we watched and listened to students language skills stretched and expanded.

Many thanks to Ms Bolton for her support and encouragement of all students and a big ‘well done’ to all students who took part.

Melbourne City Excursion

The second excursion was a Melbourne City Orientation excursion, visiting Victoria Market, Flagstaff Gardens, Parliament House and ACMI museum. Traveling by public transport; Bus, Train, Tram and Subway will help newly arrived students find their way around Melbourne. ‘How good is Melbourne Public Transport’?

Attention BSC Community

Next week we are putting a spotlight on being kind and considerate of others through the theme 'The Little Things Matter'. So what can you do to make a difference to someone's day/week?

Here are some suggestions:

1. Pass on some friendly greetings, smiles, chats

2. Compliment someone when they do something well

3. Show your thanks when someone helps you

4. Email someone kind messages

5. Think up your own way of making someone else's day

I hope that students, teachers and parents will get involved by joining in on our 'Blitz on Kindness' next week.

Thank you in advance for supporting this initiative
