COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form for Students

WITH COVID-19 case numbers still at high levels throughout our community, parents are reminded of the importance of recording any positive results for student on the CEWA COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form. The link to this portal is:

https://cewa-collections.powerappsportals.com/COVID-19-Self-Reporting-Form/

The information received through the Self-Reporting Form enables the College to accurately plan for upcoming lessons, assessments and activities. Additionally, this information also provides the Deputy Principals with a list of families whom they need to follow up with to ensure the continuity of learning of students isolating at home. Whilst it is important to log any student absence through the SNC Absentee email (absentee@norbert.wa.edu.au) it is equally important that positive COVID-19 cases (both RAT and PCR) to be recorded through the CEWA COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form.

Semester One Reports

Semester One Reports are on track to be released to students in Week 2.10 this term. Despite the challenges caused by high COVID-19 absences, both staff and students have worked hard to ensure that content is covered and that assessments have been completed. This means that for almost all students, we are in a good position to award full reports to our students. There are a small number of exceptions to this due to high individual absences but the parents of those students affected will be contacted by the College in the coming weeks to clarify the modified student reports they will receive.

The College is still committed to running face-to-face Parent/Student/Teacher interviews for Year 7-12 students on Tuesday, 19 July. Further details regarding the arrangements for these Parent/Student/Teacher interviews will be shared with families later in the term.

Year 11 Information

Approximately 67 Year 11 students are currently finishing off their Semester One examinations. These examinations reflect the final assessment opportunity before their Semester One reports are finalised. As the end of the semester approaches, the process of future academic pathways and subject selection for 2023 begins. There are some important Year 11 events that are part of the subject selection process which are outlined below:

  • Tuesday, 7 June: Semester Two Units begin
  • Monday, 27 June: Year 12 Subject Selection Information Period 6, Xanten Theatre
  • Wednesday, 29 June: Year 12 Subject Selection Online opens for current Year 11 students
  • Tuesday, 19 July: Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews

Year 11 students wishing to change subjects or pathways this year need to make an appointment with Mr Hawke as soon as possible. Changes need to be made as soon as possible to avoid missing the start of Semester Two work. Changes can only occur with teacher approval, if there is sufficient room in the class and if the Minimum Entry Requirement is met.

Parent Committee

The next St Norbert College Parent Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, 14 June commencing at 6.00pm. The focus of the meeting will be organising our next function that will take place in early Term 3. Stay tuned for further details in the coming weeks. If parents are interested in finding out more about the workings of our amazing St Norbert College Parent Committee, please contact me through the College.
