Ace Day Jobs Career Videos on Click View

I wanted to make you aware of these 57 videos about different occupations and careers including Spatial Scientist, Zoologist, Astrophysicist, Animator, Game development, Museum Curator, Eco-toxicologist, Human Rights Statistician and Cancer Research to name a few. Ace Day Jobs is a fun series of five minute video episodes of Australians with innovative careers. It's about people who really love their work and how they got into it, often with a few twists and turns on the way.

They are all mostly under 5 mins and very informative. I have also attached a pdf of the full list and description of each video.

Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation

The Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation (Dip TEP) is an accredited AQF5 level qualification aimed at students who do not initially meet the minimum ATAR for teaching.  The course has been developed as part of the Victorian Government’s Excellence in Teacher Education Reforms to ensure that disadvantage and diverse educational experiences are not a barrier to capable and committed people who want to pursue a career in teaching.

Successful completion of the Dip TEP will ensure that students graduate with the prerequisite knowledge and skills to undertake a rigorous undergraduate teacher education course.  The Dip TEP supports students to meet the literacy and numeracy standards they will need in order to graduate with a teaching qualification and supports them to meet the demands of study at a higher education level. The course introduces them to contemporary issues in education and to teaching as a profession, including practical school-based placement.

The course is offered by RMIT, VU Polytechnic and Swinburne

New Bachelor of Marine Science

Study Marine Science at Deakin’s Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus and you will gain essential knowledge and skills in ocean systems and resources through a multidisciplinary approach in the areas of marine microbiology and genomics, oceanography, coastal processes, marine modelling, marine biology, marine ecology, fisheries and aquaculture. This course will provide you with the skills required to join the greater marine science community using new marine technologies and innovative approaches to help protect and drive the sustainable future of the world’s oceans.

Alternative Pathway Programs

There are many different ways to get to the same destination, and that applies to university too. Sometimes students do not quite meet the entry criteria to go straight into a university course – maybe their ATAR was not high enough, or they did not attain the minimum study score in a prerequisite subject. The encouraging thing is that many universities have recommended pathway courses to degrees they offer. Below are some of these pathway schemes:
