Office Oracle

Introducing KioskLite

Integrating with our Compass portal, the new KioskLite scanner sits on the counter in the Blackhall office and offers quick and easy capabilities for

  • students to sign in/out when arriving late or departing early
  • parents picking up early

KioskLite has ID card recognition so students simply swipe their Preshil Student Card, or they can log in using their Compass password.

All data will appear on your child’s attendance page.

"I've lost my mobile phone"

Mobile phones are sometimes found abandoned on campus and are brought into the office to await collection. Occasionally no one comes to claim them and if they are turned off and password protected we are unable to identify the owner.

It would be helpful if the phone number of a relative is somewhere on the phone case to speed up the identification process. It would also be helpful to keep the location finder turned on at all times so you can trace its location.

Cover photo (this edition)

Art Swaney was recently announced the winner of the 13-17 year old category of the 'What I Love about Kew' Photography Competition for his photograph Preshil Palm View.

Art is currently in Year 11 and taking Visual Arts and Film as part of the IB Diploma. His photograph, which was taken from the front lawn of Blackhall, shows the campus gardens in silhouette in the foreground and a cityscape at sunset in the distance.

Art was awarded a $500 voucher from the Kew Junction Business Association and his winning photograph and those of all the finalists were, until recently, displayed in shop windows on High Street in Kew, turning the strip into an on-street gallery. Congratulations Art!
