Principal's Report

The word on everyone’s lips is not Sheepvention or Gaoyou but Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Commonly defined as something "extraordinarily good" or "wonderful", please take the opportunity to judge for yourselves this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights when our College performs Mary Poppins in the Kantor MPAC. Set in 1910, this wonderful Broadway musical will entertain both young and old. The cast and crew have worked exceptionally hard to refine their roles and I do believe the lead characters are as good as I have ever seen in my last twenty five years of education. We wish all staff and students involved every success. Tickets can be purchased online at

I would also like to acknowledge the College families who recently hosted Gaoyou students and sincerely thank them all for their hospitality. I am most appreciative of all the mums, dads, brothers and sisters who went to such great lengths to make our international guests feel welcome. I felt this year’s delegation was very engaged and I commend Mr Zhang, his staff and students on their impressive manners. Memorable visits like this don’t just happen and I recognise the enormous organisation of all staff but especially Mrs Winter Cooke, Mrs Hutton, Ms Tseng, Ms Liu and Mrs Archer.
Finally as Sheepvention concludes, I express my thanks to the Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society for their vision, preparation and execution of this week’s extravaganza. It was such an impressive occasion which celebrated our agricultural heritage combined with our creative and culinary flair.
Gratitude is one of our five key College values and this week there is much to be thankful for!
