Multicultural Week:
During the week just gone, the Senior School Library hosted the building of The Statue of Liberty, The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Taj Mahal. The latter was the biggest and hardest puzzle – which is why so many students opened the box, looked in, looked at the instructions then closed the lid!
It was a cold wet week and we had so many visitors playing card games, reading, using the Monopoly board and just keeping warm and dry with friends.
Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge:
Some amazing feats are being recorded – well done to all concerned.
Cut-off date for this year is 7th September – this is when the web site shuts. All data must be in before then – preferably asap.
What needs to be done between now and then?
- Let me know that the books listed against your son or daughter have been read by them. I will then verify the books and if they have conquered the right number and mix of titles their space will say that they have met the challenge.
- You can send this message through any time between now and the 1st of September.
- After the 1st of September, I cannot guarantee that I will have enough time to finalise your child’s reading before the list is closed.
