Acting Principal's Report
A note from the Acting Principal...
What a fantastic term it is turning out to be. We are all so proud of the way the stduetns have been following our school values in the classroom and in the playground. This week our students are discussing Integrity. There have been some fabulous Role Plays happening around the school as the students develop funny and interesting characters.
Congratulations
I hope you will join me in congratulating two of our teachers who will be expecting babies this year. Mrs Rebecca Wilson and Mrs Kimberly Campbell. We wish them all the best with their pregnancy and are looking forward to meeting their new arrivals.
School Council
Our first School Council meeting this year is on Wednesday the 24th of February. This includes existing and leaving members. The AGM will be in March. School councils play a key role in Victorian government schools. Participating as a school council member is a rewarding and challenging experience. The school council supports the principal to provide the best possible educational outcomes for students.

Fundraising Goals
Last year our fete and the school PFA raised money for the school. The focus for this money is on getting a school sign. We are looking for large amounts of sponsorship for the school sign.
The school sign will be a double sided LED display allowing us to update our school events and to provide information and photos to our community. It will be a great asset for the school. If anyone is aware of any organisations that may be interested in sponsoring our sign in exchange for advertising please let me know.
School Contributions
Thankyou to everyone for the payment of your school contributions. These form an important part of our school budget and assist us to provide the very best educational program that we can deliver. Contributions are still being taken at the school office.
Our new School Sentral Portal
Hopefully by now all parents have received their access code are able to book their Meet and Greet through our new school portal. This Portal will be constantly updated as we add information and start to use it in our every day classroom programs. If you have any issues logging in please see us ASAP as we have had a few teething issues. I look forward to seeing how this evolves for us at Upper Ferntree Gully.
Have a great week everyone,
Tabitha
