Teaching & Learning 2020

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Parent/Teacher interviews are an important opportunity to communicate with your child's classroom teacher about their academic and social progress whilst at school. This year we will have to follow some specific steps to ensure the safety of parents and staff. Parent/Teacher interviews will be held in the undercover area. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your interview and sign-in at the desk located outside the Year 1 classroom. Please wait (socially distanced) in the area outside the classrooms for your child’s teacher to invite you down. Interviews will last 15 minutes only. If you are unable to make your interview for any reason, please phone the office. The teachers look forward to meeting with you!

Book Week

Each year across Australia the Children's Book Council of Australia brings children and books together celebrating Book Week. This year, book week will be held during the week of the 17th to the 23rd of October, with the 'Theme Curious Creatures, Wild Minds.' More information about book week will be communicated early next term.

4/5/6 School Camp

This year, the year 4, 5 and 6 classes are going on camp to Murphy's Creek Escape (Murphy's Creek) We will be leaving at 8.30am on Monday the 12th of October by bus. We will return to school by 2.30pm on Wednesday the 14th of October, also by bus. The staff currently attending are Mrs Rule, Miss King and Mrs McDougall. The aim of the camp is to strip back the cotton wool, to build resilience and to enhance students' understanding of decisions and consequences. Students will learn to assist fellow students to work effectively as part of a team, develop individual leadership skills and decision making capacities. Students will also increase self confidence and self-reflection skills and have fun. We are very excited to be going on camp to celebrate our interesting 2020!
