Carnival Of Cultures 2015 -14 March 2015

 UPDATE

DON'T RUN A STALL– ASSIST INSTEAD!

If taking on a stall sounds like too much hard work, no problem!  Why not offer to help a co-ordinator.  Sophie Hong-Dunnett has put her hand up for Marketing, Signage and Decoration.  Why not help Sophie, as she will need a hand, as she is also coordinating the Stationery Stall.  Joe Jones is running Show bags, Lollies and Lucky Dip.  She is also going to need a hand – after she finishes with the Fathers Day Stall of course.

It might make it easier for us to find a Stall Co-coordinator, if we already have an army of helpers for them.

Stalls that need helpers are:

·         Jams and Preserves

·         Craft

·         Cake making Competition (JNR and SNR)

·         Choc Throw

·         Talent Show

Craft Stall

The Craft Stall is without a leader.  I am concerned as our MPS craftiness was well and truly underway by this time for the last Carnival.  If all of the crafty people in our MPS community, which includes parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents, could start to work on the following specific items, it would make it easier for  the organisers:

·         heat packs

·         felt card holders

·         felt notepads holders

·         pencil cases

·         book marks

·         buntings (we need a uniform colour scheme though)

·         moss balls (I don’t know what these are but Bettina Brent can elaborate)

·         glass jar lanterns

·         woodwork tealight candle holders (from     some of our builder Dads)

·         craft aprons (boys/girls)

·         small framed art works

·         handbags – these were great sellers last   Carnival

·         hair clips and headbands

These are just some ideas, but we are happy to expand based on your capabilities!

Attached is the list of current stalls and the relevant co-ordinators.

This list is in no way complete.  If you have something to add, a talent, resource or idea, please let us know.

If you would like to contact a co-ordinator with an idea or to volunteer your services, please email cass.williams@me.com and I will put you in contact with the relevant person.

Class Hamper Donations – must be in by the end of the week

Well done to everyone who has already provided their class hamper donation.  We have received some fabulous themed donations.  We would like to wrap up this part of the process by 29th August.
